Panasonic DY-PS10 Pocket Server Stream Media Wirelessly to iPhone and iPod touch Posted: 10 Aug 2011 07:57 PM PDT Panasonic Japan announced the DY-PS10 Pocket Server, a palm-sized device with WiFi designed to stream media content wirelessly to your iPhone or iPod touch. Works like Kingston’s Wi-Drive, but the Pocket Server has no built-in storage and offers SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot instead. The device is intended for use with Panasonic’s DIGA DVD/Blu-ray recorders. Users can connect the Pocket Server to a compatible DIGA recorder for storing videos and then to iPhone/iPod touch wirelessly. The Panasonic DY-PS10 supports WiFi 802.11b/g with WPA2 and WEP security. It supports H.264, MP4, MP3 and JPEG files. It has built-in rechargeable battery and offers mini USB connection for charging and file transfer. The device measures 117mm x 13mm x 66.8mm and weighs just 82g. Panasonic will release the DY-PS10 Pocket Server on 15 September for 14,800 Yen ($189). The Bluetooth-enabled myTREK has a comfortable arm-strap design that fits over the muscular portion of the user’s forearm and provides convenient track and volume control. Hitachi Ultrastar SSD400M Enterprise MLC SSD Posted: 10 Aug 2011 05:37 AM PDT   Hitachi announced its Ultrastar SSD400M SSD that, according to the company, is the most advanced Enterprise MLC SSD in the industry. Hitachi’s new SSD is based on Intel’s 23nm highest endurance Enterprise-grade, MLC NAND Flash to deliver outstanding performance. The 2.5-inch SSD uses 6Gb SAS interface and is available in 200GB and 400GB capacities.   The Ultrastar SSD400M provides sequential throughput of up to 495MB/s read and 385MB/s write and up to 56,000 read and 24,000 sustained write IOPS performance. It offers outstanding write endurance with 7.3 petabytes (PB) lifetime random writes, or 10 full drive writes per day for five years,  which satisfies the endurance requirements of most Enterprise applications.
