OmniVision announced its OV5690, its first 5 Megapixel image sensor using OmniVision’s OmniBSI-2 pixel architecture. The new 1.4-micron backside illumination pixel allows for a full five megapixels in a 1/4-inch optical format. With 20% reduction in camera module height, the OV5690 is ideal for slimmer smartphones and tablet devices. Thanks to the OmniBSI-2 technology, the OV5690 image sensor supports Full HD 1080p video recording at 30fps. It also includes an integrated scaler that enables electronic image stabilization, 2 x 2 binning functionality with re-sampling filter that minimizes spatial artifacts and removes image artifacts around edges, a standard 2-lane (1 Gbps/lane) MIPI/LVDS interface. The device docks and projects content from iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. It features 640×480 VGA resolution, 10 lumens brightness, LED light source with 20,000 hours of life and built-in 1W speaker.
The MiLi Power Projector 2 can produce 5-70-inch screen sizes. It comes with 2800mAh battery that offers up to 2.5 hours of projection time. It also works with other video sources via VGA input and AV input.

Garmin introduces a new rugged handheld GPS device, the Montana 650t with 5 Megapixel auto-focus camera for taking geotagged photos. The rugged device is durable and waterproof and is built to withstand numps, dust, dirt and humidity.
The Montana 650t features a 4-inch 272×480 dual-orientation sunlight readable touchscreen. It sports high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver and HotFix satellite prediction for locating your position quickly and precisely; and a built-in 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass, which shows your heading even when you're standing still, without holding it level. The handheld GPS device has 3.5GB internal memory loaded with TOPO U.S. 100K maps. It supports also Garmin’s wide array of detailed topographic, marine, and road map, including BirdsEye Satellite Imagery that lets you download satellite images to your device and integrate them with your maps. The 11.6-inch laptop is powered by dual core Intel Atom processor, Acer’s Chromebook packs 2GB of DDR3 RAM, integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics and 16GB SSD storage. The Acer Chromebook has 11.6-inch CineCrystal LED-backlit LCD display with 1366×767 resolution. It features a 1.3 Megapixel HD webcam, HDMI output, built-in speaker and 6-cell battery for up to 8 hours of battery life. Kingston announced its new DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 Generation 2 (DTU30G2), its fastest USB 3.0 flash drive. The drive uses a native USB 3.0 controller for better performance and power management. Available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, Kingston’s DTU30G2 offers a read speed up to 100MB/s, and a write speed up to 70 MB/s. The drive has read and write speeds of around 30MB/s, when plugged into a USB 2.0 port.

KDDI au expands its INFOBAR range with the latest A01 model with a “Design infused with famed predecessor’s DNA”. Designed by Naoto Fukasawa, the new touchscreen INFOBAR features signature tile-like keys, hand-fitting form, and palette of colors, including Kuro, Nishikigoi, Hacca, and Chocomint.
Powered by Qualcomm SnapDragon MSM8655 1.4GHz CPU, the INFOBAR A01 runs Android 2.3 and includes the iida UI that looks a bit like Windows Phone 7‘s tile style interface. It ahs a 3.7-inch 540×960 touchscreen, a 8 Megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Infrared and WiFi. The phone sports built-in 1Seg TV tuner for users to watch TV on-the-go. It has 1.1GB internal storage and supports microSD/SDHC up to 32GB. The A01 supports Global Passport supporting both CDMA EVDO and GSM network, making it a world phone.

Samsung releases its 11.6-inch Series 9 notebook in the US. The super slim, lightweight notebook (model NP900X1A-A01US) is powered by an Intel Core i3-380UM ultra low voltage dual core processor, 2GB of RAM integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 graphics and 64GB solid state drive storage. It has a 11.6-inch 1366×768 LED-backlit LCD display.

Lenovo launches its first ThinkCentre Edge PC, the 91z all-in-one desktop PC with a compact body. According to Lenovo, the Edge 91z is one of the slimmest yet most powerful all-in-one measuring just 2.5-inch thick. It is an office or home tool for small-to-medium businesses, education customers and power professionals looking for style and high performance with the convenience of a small footprint.
The ThinkCentre Edge 91z features a 21.5-inch glossy HD Infinity 1920×1200 LED-backlit display. NTT DoCoMo is going to release in June/July in Japan its MEDIAS WP N-06C super slim waterproof Android smartphone. At its thinnest part, the N-06C is just 7.9mm thick (9.7mm thick around the camera). It packs a 4-inch 480×854 touchscreen LCD display, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with face detection, built-in 1Seg mobile TV tuner, integrated GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
The NEC MEDIAS WP N-06C is powered by Qualcomm’s MSM8255 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. It support GSM and WCDMA 3G/HSPA networks. Running Android 2.3 OS, the phone includes docomo’s Palette UI and Flash player. It is available in Champagne Gold, Premium Rose and amadana Brown.
