Archos introduces two new Android devices for your home – the 35 Smart Home Phone DECT phone and the 35 Home Connect, a web device. Both of them run Android OS and have a 3.5-inch touchscreen for easy operation. They are powered by OMAP 3630 1 GHz processor with OpenGL ES 2.0 graphic accelerator and run Android 2.2 Froyo OS.
The 35 Smart Home Phone, as its name tells, is a smart DECT home phone. It is compatible with any ADSL box or phone line and uses standard DECT protocols, and works just like other Android smartphones. The Smart Home Phone has a front 720p camera with recording for video calling. Coming in September, the 35 Home Connect and 35 Smart Home Phone will be available for $149 and $159, respectively. Archos announced its G9 series Android tablets, including the 80 G9 and the 101 G9, both running Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS. The G9 tablets are powered by TI’s OAP 4 processor with ARM Cortex dual-core A9 running at 1.5GHz. They can be equipped with either 16GB flash memory or a 250GB hard drive. The Archos 80 G9 has a 8-inch 4:3 1024×768 touchscreen while the 101 G9 comes with a 10.1-inch 16:10 1280×800 touchscreen. They sport a 720p front camera with 720p HD video recording, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity, built-in GPS receiver and compass, built-in speaker, microSD/SDHC card slot and HDMI output. According to Archos, the G9 tablets “are the only tablets able to decode 1080p H264 High Profile videos whilst current standard tablets are not even able to play 720p H264 High Profile smoothly.” Instead of offering a 3G model with integrated 3G modulr, Archos decided to release a 3G USB dongle for the G9 tablets. The $49 dongle is a standard 3G stick for laptops which has been designed to be compatible with all ARCHOS G9 tablets, adding support for 3G mobile network. The Archos 80 G9 starts at $279 and the 101 G9 at $349.

The CloudBox does automatic daily backup of stored files to the cloud, ensuring your data is always safe, secure and accessible. With a copy in the cloud, you can always recover and get back important files, even if the CloudBox drive goes wrong. Every file is encrypted with military-grade 128-bit AES before being uploaded, and the CloudBox’s Online Restore application allows you to browse and restore selections of files and folders, up to 10 previous versions.
The LaCie CloudBox has 100GB storage capacity. It use Gigabit Ethernet LAN interface for network connection. The box is designed by Neil Poulton. It measures 117 x 117 x 38 mm and weighs 400g.

Asus is launching two new AMD Fusion-powered all-in-one PCs, the Eee Top ET2011AUKB and Eee Top ET2011AUTB. Both models are powered by AMD’s Fusion Brazos E350 dual core 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of RAM (max 4GB), integrated graphics and 500GB hard drive. They have a 20-inch 1600×900 LCD display.
The ET2011AUKB will come with a matte-finish screen while the ET2011AUTB has a multitouch anti-glare touchscreen display. Both AIO PCs support WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity and sport 2Wx2 SRS Premium Sound speaker, 1.3 Megapixel webcam, 3-in-1 card reader, Tray-in DVD burner and Gigabit Ethernet LAN port. The price is Euro 539 for ET2011AUKB and Euro 589 for multitouch capable ET2011AUTB.
Asus also brings the Eee Top ET1611PUT powered by Intel Atom D425 1.8GHz with Intel GMA 3150 graphics. This model has 2GB RAM and 250GB hard drive and supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n. Priced at Euro 449, it comes standard with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS, or you can get the ET1611PUT Essential (Euro 369) without OS. Related Posts
