Netgear WNDR4500 N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router

Netgear announced its new WNDR4500 N900 wireless dual band Gigabit router that offers up to 900Mbps of combined WiFi speed and greater WiFi range for maximum performance with even the most demanding tasks, such as wireless 3D and HD video streaming, multiplayer gaming and backing up big files. It packs six highly sensitive internal antennas, boosted by ultra-high-power radio amplifiers, to provide a greater WiFi range.

With up to 50 percent more speed in the 2.4 GHz band than the current generation of 750 Mbps routers, the NETGEAR N900 can support a full 450 Mbps in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It has four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. Other than support for WPA and WPA2 protocols for WiFi, the router includes double firewall (SPI and NAT) protection against Internet threats, and provides Denial of Service (DoS) attack prevention.

The Netgear WNDR4500 has USB port and offers ReadySHARE Printer for easy printer sharing. DLNA support is also available for turning plugged USB hard drive into DLNA media server. Coming in winter, the WNDR4500 N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router will be avaiilable for $179.99.
