Powered by the dual core AMD E350 APU running at 1.6GHz, the CR650 packs 3GB of DDR3 memory, Radeon HD6310 discrete-class graphics. It sports a 320GB hard drive and a DVD SuperMulti burner. The MSI CR650 comes with a 15.6-inch 1366×768 glossy LCD display and built-in stereo speakers. Garmin GTN 650 and GTN 750 series Touchscreen Avionics Devices Posted: 25 Mar 2011 01:41 AM PDT Garmin announced two new touchscreen avionics devices, the GTN 650 and GTN 750 panel-mount units that are certified and approved for installation in hundreds of makes and models of general aviation aircraft. They both feature new capabilities for GPS/NAV/COM systems like touchscreen operation, graphical flight planning with victor airways and high-altitude jet routes, remote transponder, remote audio control (750 series only), SafeTaxi and electronic chart capabilities (750 series only). The GTN 650 has a 4.9-inch touchscreen while the GTN 750 has a 6.9-inch touchscreen that is large to view an entire chart via Garmin FliteCharts and ChartView, as well as display integrated audio and intercom functions (with the new optional GMA 35 remote mount audio processor). They have graphical flight planning capability ao that pilots can edit an active flight plan route on the map and easily enter a new waypoint or modify the sequence by tapping or dragging their finger on the screen. The GTN series avonics devices come with built-in terrain, mapping and obstacle databases and are SBAS/WAAS-enabled that let pilots fly GPS-guided LPV glidepath approaches down to ILS-comparable minimums. The standard GTN 650 and GTN 750 feature a 10-watt COM, and a field upgradeable 16-watt version is also available. Utilizing VA LCD panel, both of displays feature Full HD 1920×1080 resolution and LED-backlit. They also feature dynamic contrast ratio of 100,000,000:1 and a “Zero Bright Dot” guarantee. The B243HLCOymdr offers 250cd/m2 brightness and 8ms response time while the B273HLOymidh has 300cd/m2 brightness and 10ms response time. Both monitors have D-sub and DVI inputs and the 27-inch model adds HDMI. A rotating, tilting, height adjustable stand will be includes for each of them.
