‘BlockSites’ to Block Unwanted Website on Mozilla Firefox 4

Block Unwanted Websites on Mozilla Firefox 4

block-sites-mozilla-firefoxThe easiest way to block a website in Mozilla Firefox 4 is by installing a third-party Addon called "BlockSite".

As the name suggests, it lets you configure the "blacklisted" sites i.e. those which you want to block from your Mozilla Firefox 4 Web Browser.

It also converts hyperlinks to blacklisted domains to non-function text which means that there is no way to reach that domain.

BlockSites also comes with Password Protection. You can enable it and it'll make sure that the sites you have blacklisted won't get opened on your system and there is no way in which anyone can change the settings without your permission.

Block Websites on Mozilla Firefox 4 using BlockSite

Step 1: Open Firefox –> Tools –> Addons and then click on "Get Addons" then "Browse all Addons". Here you will see a search box, type in "blocksite", the plugin will get listed, install it and restart your Mozilla Firefox 4.

Step 2: Once Mozilla Firefox 4 has loaded again, go to Tools –> Addons and open preferences of Blocksite by performing a right-click on it. Here you can list those unwanted sites under the 'blacklist', any website listed there won't get opened again.

Make sure “Blacklist” radio button is ticked and “Enable BlockSite,” “Enable warning messages,” and “Enable link removal” are enabled.

Step 3: Check “Enable authentication,” and then enter a password that would give you the control over which sites are blacklisted. No one would be able to change the blacklisted sites without your permissions.

Step 4: Click on "Add" button to add new websites to the blacklisted sections, repeat this procedure to add as many websites as you want. Once you are done, click "OK" and restart Firefox. That's it!

Delete the websites from blacklisted section and those would start opening in your Mozilla Firefox 4.

Verizon Slashed Down Price of Original iPad to $299 (16GB)

Prices of Original iPad Drop to $299 at Verizon

verizon-apple-ipadHey People,

Have you been putting off the thought of buying an Apple iPad because of its high price tag, then today I am going to share something with you that might propel you to go and shell out money for iPad.

Before the launch of Apple iPad 2, the original iPad was sold at $499 but now since iPad 2 has plunged into the Tablet Market the demand for iPad 1 has somewhat lowered. I mean if I can get iPad 2 for $499 why I would spend $499 for iPad 1.

Verizon has decided to lower the price of iPad 1, after all they need to clear up the remaining stock.

Anyhow… the price of original iPad has been slashed to $299 with Verizon Network for 16 GB Wi-Fi Model which is a great deal.

I don't think the stock would last too long because it doesn't matter whether it is Apple iPad 2 or iPad 1, people are crazy about Apple.

The Original Apple iPad Sale

This sale is currently available only at Verizon Outlets and the prices of 32GB and 64GB models have also been slashed down to $399 and $499.

Verizon doesn't stock iPads that have built-in 3G so the iPads on sale are just the Wi-Fi ones.

Verizon is selling the cheapest iPad as of now since the price of the same gadget at AT&T is $100 more and the new apple ipad 2 costs $200 more i.e. $499.

Which one to Choose & Why?

If you want to have a dual-core processor, better graphics and faster browsing speed then go for Apple iPad 2 but if you just want any portable tablet then iPad 1 is not a bad choice either and on top it you would save $200.

I don't think waiting anymore is worth it because the prices won't drop anymore… if you really want to have an Apple iPad… go out and buy it from Verizon, they are selling it cheap…!!!  :D
